Protective Clothing Drive
The price to protect a photosensitive child with high quality hats, gloves, shirts and more can cost upwards of $70 an item. Even worse, most children will grow out of that gear in as little as six months. Shadow Jumpers collects that used gear and pays it forward to families in need who may not be able to afford the price of these high end garments.

A huge thank you to UV SKINZ for their generous donation of products. Their thoughtful contribution of shirts, pants, swimwear, and more will significantly enhance our inventory, allowing us to support families affected by these conditions in protecting their photosensitive children.
What is Sun Protective Clothing?
Sun protective clothing is specifically designed to shield against the sun, made from fabrics that are rated for their ultraviolet (UV) protection levels. The innovative weave structure and denier (which relates to thread count per inch) can contribute to these protective qualities. Additionally, certain textiles used in sun protective clothing may undergo pre-treatment with UV-inhibiting substances during manufacturing to boost their effectiveness.
The UPF (ultraviolet protection factor) indicates the ratio of UV rays that cause sunburn without protection compared to those with the fabric's shield, similar to how SPF (sun protection factor) ratings work for sunscreen.
